Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Corsair War mobile game ("Corsair War", the "Game"), operated by Popworks ("Popworks", "we", "us" or "our"). By downloading, accessing or playing the Game you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not play.

Playing Corsair War

Subject to these Terms, Popworks grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play the Game on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. The Game, its artwork, sounds, ship designs and code belong to Popworks or its licensors; you may not copy, sell or reuse them except as the law allows.

Your account

You can sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, or play as a guest. A guest account lives only on this device's sign-in: if you delete the Game or lose the device before linking Google or Apple (Settings → your captain → Link), the account and its progress may be lost and we may not be able to restore it. You are responsible for your sign-in credentials and for everything that happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time inside the Game (Settings → your captain → Delete account).

Captain names and conduct

Your captain name is shown to other players. It must not be offensive, hateful, unlawful, or impersonate someone else, and must not contain personal information. We may change or remove a name that breaks this rule.

Virtual items

Coins, diamonds, ships, blueprints, items and other things in the Game are virtual items. You receive a limited licence to use them in the Game; they have no cash value, are not property, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred or sold to anyone, and are lost if your account is deleted or closed. Prices, costs, rewards, drop rates, ship strengths, stages and events may change at any time, including to keep the Game fair and balanced.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are processed by them under their terms. The price is shown before you buy. Purchases of virtual items are final and delivered at once; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, and we do not give refunds except where the law requires it. If a purchase fails to arrive, contact us (Settings → Contact us) and we will help. If a purchase is refunded by the store we may remove what it gave.

Fair play

You agree not to:

• cheat, or use bots, scripts, modified or unofficial copies of the Game, or any tool that changes how it works;
• exploit a bug or error for advantage, or fail to report a serious one you find;
• attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, tamper with or interfere with the Game, its servers or other players' play;
• access, or try to access, accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
• buy, sell or trade accounts or virtual items for real money outside the Game's own store;
• use the Game for any unlawful purpose.

If you break these rules we may remove items, reset progress, or suspend or close your account, with or without notice.

Advertising

The Game may show an optional rewarded ad. Ads are provided by a third party (Google AdMob). Watching an ad is always your choice.

Third-party services

The Game relies on third-party services, including Supabase, Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Cloudflare, the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of the Game is also subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy.

Changes to the Game

We may update, change, suspend or end the Game, or any part of it, at any time, including its servers, events and virtual items. We will try to give notice where we reasonably can.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that your progress will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Popworks is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, progress or virtual items, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Game. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Game at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have broken these Terms. You can stop playing and delete your account at any time.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Game is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the Game from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Popworks only, not Apple, and that Apple has no responsibility for the Game or its content. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and, once you accept them, has the right to enforce them against you.
